Bot (Penance) was written in 2016 as a thesis play at the University of the Arts Helsinki. The plays tells the story of a young woman struggling to confront her family about a childhood trauma. Conflicted by violent fantasies of revenge and a longing for forgiveness she seeks refuge in Sta. Maria Goretti, the patron saint of chastity.
The play was written in Swedish and performed as a rehearsed reading at the University of Arts Helsinki. The reading was directed by Tuomas Timonen and performed by actors Julia Högnabba, Emil Grudemo El Hayek, Jan-Christian Söderholm, Mari-Helen Hyvärinen and Joonas Heikkinen.
