(The Builders)
A play about buildings and the people who build them. Written for two actors, in collaboration Piret Jaaks.
The piece was written and developed in collaboration with Estonian playwright and dramaturg Piret Jaaks, and Post Theatre Collective. The play was staged as a guest production at Teater Viirus in 2018, under the direction of David Kozma. The script was translated into Estonian by Tiina Randus in 2019.
The play is the first part of Post Theatre Collective’s trilogy Invisible Finland, and is inspired by interviews with foreign-born construction workers working in Finland. Rakentajat explores Finnish utopias and the multifaceted experiences of the immigrants building them.
